How we write our articles
How our recipes and guides are researched, written, checked and kept up to date.
How articles are made
Articles are researched and drafted with the help of AI writing tools that search current, public sources. Before an article is published it is edited for clarity and checked: figures, temperatures, times and links are compared with their sources, and anything that can't be confirmed is removed. Each article carries the name of the cuisine.me author it is published under.
Recipes
Our recipes follow established methods: ingredient ratios, oven temperatures and cooking times are compared with several well-known recipes for the same dish before we publish. Times are guides, because ovens, pans and ingredients vary. We don't publish nutrition figures, because we can't calculate them reliably for every kitchen.
Food safety
Safe cooking temperatures, storage times and thawing advice come from official food-safety guidance, such as the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service, FoodSafety.gov and the FDA. Where guidance differs, we give the more cautious advice.
Photos and videos
Most photos are licensed stock photography, credited under the photo. They show the kind of dish or ingredient being discussed rather than the result of the exact recipe. Videos are embedded from their creators' YouTube channels and credited to them.
No paid mentions
We don't take payment to mention a brand, product or shop in an article.
Dates and corrections
Every article shows when it was published or last updated. If you spot an error, tell us through our contact page. We correct mistakes and update the article's date when we do.
