Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 6 ounces white chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 ounces fresh strawberries, quartered
  • 1 tablespoon boiling water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons powdered gelatin

Preparation

  1. Sprinkle the gelatin over boiling water in a small bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat heavy whipping cream and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is warm, but not boiling.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the chopped white chocolate and stir until melted and smooth.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and dissolved gelatin until everything is blended.
  5. Pour the mixture into four small cups or ramekins and chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours, until the mixture is set.
  6. Combine the strawberries with a little sugar, if desired, and let them sit for 10 minutes to create a simple stew.
  7. Spoon the stewed strawberries over the chilled panna cotta before serving.
