To make French fries in your air fryer, you only need a few ingredients. The steps are simple, so anyone can make these fries at home, even if you have never cooked before. Give this recipe a try if you want a tasty upgrade from frozen fries.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)

Preparation

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes.
  2. Cut the potatoes into thin strips.
  3. Soak the potato strips in water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry with paper towels.
  4. Toss the potato strips with the olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  6. Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  7. Cook for 15-20 minutes, tossing or shaking the basket every 5 minutes, until the fries are golden and crispy.
  8. Serve the fries warm.
